Man United have 'agreement' with Denmark to avoid Rasmus Hojlund injury

Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand has discussed plans with Manchester United over handling Rasmus Hojlund's game time while on international duty.

Quoted by The Metro, Hjulmand told reporters: "We have an agreement with United about the total amount of playing time in the two matches.

"He plays from the start against Switzerland and there are no restrictions on how much he can play in that match. Then we’ll see what happens after that match.

"‘Our staff has put together a plan with Erik ten Hag on how he will get the best build-up after Rasmus’ injury period. It is both for our good and their good.

"It does not make sense to smash a player through and increase the risk of an injury that goes beyond our own Euro plans. That plan is there for Rasmus Hojlund and for all other players."

Hojlund only recently returned from injury for Man United in a 4-3 win over Liverpool and has joined Denmark for this month's internationals.

Amid a severe injury crisis at Old Trafford this season, fans can only hope none of the players return with injuries.
