Diogo Dalot is pleased to hear that Man United legend Gary Neville feels that he has been the club’s best player of the 2023/24 season.
Speaking to A Bola about this, the Portuguese defender said: “I see it as a responsibility. It’s always good to hear praise, especially from players who have already played for the club and know what it means to represent a club like Manchester United.
“It’s the result of the work I’m doing and I want to take advantage of this moment to help the national team. I know that the demands here are very high and so is the competition.”
Dalot has not only been impressively consistent this season but also stayed free from injuries. He has made 38 appearances so far, only missing two games – one due to a card suspension to his questionable sending-off at Anfield against Liverpool.
In these appearances, the 25-year-old has also scored two goals and provided three assists – adding a lot of reliability in the Red Devils’ right wing
