Man United fans had Old Trafford rocking in the thrilling 4-3 win over Liverpool in the recent FA Cup quarter-final clash.
Now after that, it turns out that the Red Devils’ matchday supporters are one of the most loyal ones in England.
That is because Man United have the highest average attendance for home matches this season with a whopping 73,523 average home crowd.
This is well above the second-place West Ham United, who boasts a crowd of around 62,433. Tottenham Hotspur finished off the top-3 with an average attendance of 61,523.
Even though Old Trafford’s attendance has been sky-high this season, there are plans to build a new stadium that can hold above 100,000 on the same site as the stadium.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been quite vocal about modernizing Man United’s stadium and wants to reportedly make it the ‘Wembley of the North’.
