Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham & 2 more England players rave about Kobbie Mainoo

Kobbie Mainoo has boldly stepped into the spotlight for England after a commanding display in the 2-2 draw with Belgium.

The Manchester United midfielder was awarded the Player of the Match on his first start for the Three Lions.

Four England players sang praises of Mainoo, who has played 16 times for the Red Devils this season.

Declan Rice: "Every time I've seen him playing for United on the TV, he has been pretty much their best player every game. I've been asked a lot by my friends 'what's Mainoo like?' - and he's really, really impressive. I really want him to enjoy his career. I think it's really important that we don't put too much pressure on him.

"He's at one of the biggest clubs in the world, and now he's at England we just want to let him flourish. He's so composed. I have come across so many 18-year-olds who are top players but don't have that full package. He's just a really normal kid.

"The sky is the limit for him. He's an amazing player and I am looking forward to hopefully playing many games for England with him."

Jordan Pickford: "He’s quality. I think he made his debut for Man United against Everton earlier this season and dictated the game pretty much. He’s not been out the side since.

"He’s come in and I think he’s just done what he’s been doing at Man United. You can see he’s a top talent."

Ivan Toney: "He carries himself very well. A strong young man. I’ve seen his football ability – hence he is playing for England. A top talent, I am sure he will go right to the top if he keeps his head down and works hard."

Jude Bellingham: "He was good tonight. It's difficult, and I am speaking like the old head here, but I know how hard it can be when there's a clamour and people put a lot of pressure on you.

"So I don't want to add fuel to the fire, but he's definitely a brilliant player and he's going to have an amazing future at Manchester United and hopefully for England as well."
