Man United 'want talks' with Wolves boss Gary O'Neill about coaching role (reliability: 3 stars)

As per ESPN, Manchester United are eager to hold talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Gary O'Neill over a potential role under the INEOS-led regime.

O'Neill, 40, has guided Wolves into competing for a spot in Europe despite taking charge last August.

ESPN understands Man United intend to offer him a place in the new coaching set-up - although the exact nature of it is unknown.

The Red Devils are reportedly not looking at O'Neill as a replacement for Erik ten Hag; other options are being considered for that. Besides managerial candidates, Man United also wish to bolster the entire coaching staff.

ESPN further adds that O'Neill is aware of Man United's interest and he's expected to meet club officials very soon.
