Fabrizio Romano delivers verdict on Gareth Southgate potentially replacing Erik ten Hag

Manchester United have not contacted Gareth Southgate about the managerial job so far, reports Fabrizio Romano, a tier-one source.

Amid plenty of speculation by the media lately, Romano has dismissed all such claims.

According to the Italian journalist, Southgate will not discuss managing clubs at least until after the Euro 2024 is over.

His contract with England, which expires at the end of this year, remains a subject of doubt as well as he's no closer to extending right now.

Romano also adds that the final two months of 2023/24 will be crucial for Erik ten Hag to turn things around before Sir Jim Ratcliffe-backed INEOS look for alternatives.
