Dropping points at worst time: where Man United stand in PL table after Brentford result

Man United were lucky to scrape out a 1-1 draw against Brentford after what was a pretty shambolic performance.

Erik ten Hag's side were overwhelmed by the hosts, but took a lead in the 96th-minute goal from Mason Mount.

However, Kristoffer Ajer's goal got one back for Brentford and ensured that the points were split.

This means that Man United failed to keep up in the race for a Champions League spot. Erik ten Hag's side are now eight points behind fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils are also 11 points behind the top-4, although having played a game fewer than fourth-place Aston Villa.
