Only 12 touches: Dismal stats vs Chelsea spell trouble for Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford did not start the 4-3 defeat to Chelsea but he came on later in the game with 25 minutes to spare.

The Manchester United forward also spent an additional 10 minutes of stoppage time on the pitch. However, his stats make for grim reading.

As Rashford wrestles with losing his England spot, his performance for Man United don't spell hope for a better future.

Against Chelsea on Thursday, Rashford had just 12 touches on the ball in a little over half an hour.

He created 0 chances, had 0 shots on goal and also failed to win any tackles or interceptions.

Rashford completed 73% of his passes but surely Ten Hag expected more from one of the highest-earners at the club at such a crucial stage.

Instead of improving Man United's struggles, he somehow became invisible once again.

Considering he contributed neither offensively nor defensively, keeping him on the bench wouldn't be a huge loss.
