Reason Antony didn't travel for Bournemouth game revealed - not necessarily injury 

Antony was a surprise omission from Manchester United's matchday squad to face Bournemouth. United claimed his absence was due to a fresh injury. 

However, reports said the Brazilian was not injured and was left out in part due to disagreements with Erik ten Hag over playing time when he felt he deserved to start. 

Antony last started for United in the 4-3 loss at Chelsea at the start of April, playing over 100 minutes on the night.

He was then dropped to the bench for the 2-2 draw against Liverpool having been deemed unfit to play from the off, and now he has missed out on making the squad altogether.

In absence, the Reds managed to hold Bournemouth to a 2-2 draw.
