Rio Ferdinand believes Jadon Sancho has put in the hard yards to turn things around for himself since leaving Manchester United on the back of a public fallout with Erik ten Hag.
Although Sancho only has two goals and an assist to his name, he's evolved into one of their hardest-working players on the field.
His work off the ball has improved as well since he re-joined Borussia Dortmund on loan in January. They are now in the Champions League semi-final and will take on Paris Saint-Germain.
Rio praised Sancho for his work at Dortmund, quoted by Goal: "We asked for Sancho to put in a performance, a lot to prove and he’s showing it.
"He’s left Manchester United under a cloud, he’s now in a Champions League semi-final against PSG.
"Who could have written that script? He wouldn’t have seen that coming."
In contrast, Man United's troubles are only worsening as they are in a barren run of form since the international break ended in March.
The Red Devils have dropped points in all games since then, often giving up results from winning positions. They now face a big test against Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final as Ten Hag's future hangs in the balance.
