Man United fans 'posing as disabled supporters' to gain access to perks

According to the Daily Mail, some Manchester United fans have misused the facilities provided to disabled supporters during away games.

The club have received reports of incidents where fans 'pose as disabled supporters' to gain access to premium perks typically available to those in wheelchairs.

The Daily Mail quotes Chas Banks, secretary of the Manchester United Disabled Supporters’ Association, who said: "I have seen with my own eyes evidence of these scumbags doing this, and I have the photos.

"To the extent of them twice having been seen watching the match whilst sitting in a wheelchair on the wheelchair platform, and then the next game being seen standing in the able-bodied section bouncing up and down when United score a goal."

The club are yet to determine a course of action to deal with this latest issue.
