Glazers previously rejected Jim Ratcliffe's top pick to replace Ten Hag – here's why

Jim Ratcliffe reportedly wanted to replace Erik ten Hag with Graham Potter as the Man United manager.

According to The Athletic, in the 2021/22 season, Potter had been considered as a replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Glazers turned down the suggestion due to Potter's lack of experience in the Champions League at the time.

Potter is still highly rated in Ratcliffe's books and the former Brighton boss has already had an offer from Ajax, which he turned down.

Should Potter be in the mix again if Ten Hag is sacked, it will be interesting to see how the co-owners decide on the matter.
