Erik ten Hag claims his critics may not 'have any knowledge of football'

Erik ten Hag believes that he has the patience of those fans who know something about football.

"I think the fans have the patience, you’ve seen it on Monday," the Man United head coach told a press conference.

"I see some comments they don’t, either they don’t have any knowledge of football or they don't have any knowledge about managing a football team or they just aren’t up to it. I think there are many people who see the problems and they are patient."

Ten Hag's words are unlikely to find him any new fans: United may have had a historically bad season in terms of injuries, but that might not be an excuse for missing out on Europe altogether.
