Erik ten Hag has reiterated the importance of getting a big win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium in the final Premier League game of the season.
Manchester United have had a season to forget that got derailed with injuries, controversies and overall lack of consistency.
Buoyed by the 3-2 win over Newcastle United in the previous fixture, Ten Hag is quietly confident about ending 2023/24 on a good note.
The boss told MUTV: "I think it was a good performance [vs Newcastle] and we achieved good levels – as a team and individuals.
"As you say, we scored some great goals. It was enjoyable to watch and to give a good finish at Old Trafford but we have still two games to go to finish and the season is not over.
"On Sunday, we have a very important game to play. We need a better result than Newcastle. It’s very difficult because, as I say, we have to win this game."
The season's not over for Man United this weekend though; they have to begin preparations to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final for the second time in a row.
Man City walked away with the trophy last season but this time, the Red Devils desperately need the win.
