'Ferguson > Fraudiola': One stat shows why Man City success can never match Sir Alex

Manchester City have won the Premier League for the fourth time in a row, finishing above Arsenal with two points.

With 115 unanswered FFP charges and millions of pounds spent over the years, Pep Guardiola has certainly stamped his mark in England.

However, an interesting stat shows why his success can never come close to what Sir Alex Ferguson achieved with Manchester United.

Statman Dave posted 'Ferguson >>> Fraudiola' on X as he noted how Sir Alex spent a total of £153 million on transfers to win the Premier League three consecutive times.

That's an astonishing £471 million less than what Guardiola has spent to win it four times (£624 million).

Guardiola has received enviable backing from Man City's oil money coffers; to do it without that financial luxury is what sets Fergie apart.
