Man United head into the FA Cup final this weekend, taking on rivals Manchester City at Wembley. Erik ten Hag has hinted that Rasmus Hojlund might have earned his spot.
“The manager, the coaching team has a luxury problem, which is good,” said Ten Hag. “Not a dilemma. It’s a luxury problem, huh? I think both formations can be a success because, as you know, we can play the set-up in the Etihad where we were a threat, I think, with movement in behind.
“But with Rasmus Hojlund in this form, it’s absolutely a consideration and a thought for us to consider. Let’s have the thought. I also want to say that you need not only 11 players in a final, a tough final, but a bench as well,” he added.
Rasmus has started United’s last two games on the bench with Ten Hag going going without a striker before bringing Hojlund on in the second half.
The Dane scored in both of those substitute appearances and is giving Ten Hag plenty to think about ahead of the cup final.
