6 managers who could replace Erik ten Hag at Man United

Manchester United have decided to sack Erik ten Hag after the FA Cup final on Saturday, regardless of the result.

The timing of the leak - on the eve of the Manchester City final - has garnered backlash across social media.

INEOS are intent on making big changes at Man United since their minority takeover earlier this year.

The truth is, there have been rumours of several managers potentially replacing the under-fire boss. Tribuna.com takes a closer look.

Despite Bayern Munich's best attempts to reverse their decision of letting Tuchel go, the German has confirmed his departure.

He's free to take up a new job and he's reportedly open to returning to the Premier League since being linked with Man United.

Tuchel won the Champions League in his very first season at Chelsea and even went to the semi-final this term with Bayern.

Fresh after leaving his role as Chelsea manager, Poch was linked with managing Man United before Ten Hag took charge in 2022.

Famous for his incredible run with Tottenham Hotspur, the Argentine boss is rated very highly by INEOS - they wanted to sign him as Nice boss as well.

Since his incredible journey of taking Ipswich Town to the Premier League, McKenna has been linked with replacing Ten Hag.

He started out as an assistant coach at Man United and has tasted plenty of success and attention for his work at Ipswich.

However, managing a Premier League side - and one as big as Man United - is no joke. He lacks the experience for the job but could be a great wildcard choice, having worked here previously.

Having left Brighton at the end of this season, De Zerbi's tactical nous has been praised even by Pep Guardiola.

He's linked to the Chelsea job as well but could be lured to Old Trafford if INEOS play their cards right.

De Zerbi is proven in the Premier League and certainly has more experience than some of the other names here.

Although Southgate has categorically denied links to managing Man United, he's still an option INEOS value very highly.

Southgate's contract with England expires in December but he could leave his role after the Euro 2024 ends.

He's also been spotted enjoying dinner with Sir Dave Brailsford and more of the INEOS chiefs, including Sir Jim Ratcliffe. That was reportedly a meeting to discuss a potential Man United move.

And finally, there's another former Brighton and Chelsea manager on the list.

Potter is without a job since leaving Chelsea in 2023, winning just seven of his 22 games in charge.

Amid the touted possible candidates, Potter's name has been mentioned several times.

Honestly, out of all the names, Potter's is probably the most baffling as he's not exactly proven himself at the highest level.
