Man United in potential trouble with Premier League and FIFA as new signing can't be registered yet

Manchester United are currently working to register and clear the transfer of 17-year-old Australian right-back James Overy, according to The Sun.

Overy and his family have already moved to the country, but he has been unable to play for due to ongoing reviews by the Premier League and FIFA.

The delay is because the full-back joined Newton Abbot Spurs in March, and FIFA rules prevent transfers within 16 weeks to avoid 'bridge transfers'.

Man United are hopeful that Overy will be allowed to join once these issues are resolved, but he can't be officially transferred until all details are cleared.
