Lucas Vazquez spoke to the media after scoring an impressive goal against Real Zaragoza in the Copa del Rey last 16 on Wednesday.
The winger managed to be included in the starting squad and has not let Zinedine Zidane down by any margin. After the match, Lucas was asked a rather controversial question and answered it in the best way imaginable.
"[Are Real Madrid] the best team in Europe? There's still a lot left, but hopefully, we'll keep this level until the end of the season. Then we'll talk," said Vazquez.
"The mister [Zinedine Zidane] has everyone behind him, he gives us all confidence and I think that makes a group very united."
Despite the endless critique and the recent injury, the Spaniard continues to show admirable will and dedication to the Casa Blanca. Lucas chose to stay at the Bernabeu, even though he had many chances to leave during the last summer.
Having just two goals and two assists in mere 12 appearances this season so far doesn't seem to affect the player too much. His performance in Zaragoza yesterday was a testament to that.
