Luka has recently written a short letter on Players' Tribune, a content platform that connects athletes with fans through their personal experience.
In his short note titled 'Hola Madrid!' Luka elaborated on the importance of being confident in the final third for the striker:
“It’s funny, the last time I played for the national team, one of my teammates, Stefan Mitrović, said something like, “Man, the things I could do if I had your confidence.” But for me, it just makes sense. How can you be a striker without confidence? For this position, the most important part is not the beginning, it is the ending,” writes Jovic
Much is expected of the 21-year-old striker after a break-out season with Eintracht Frankfurt in which the Serbian scored 27 goals while providing 7 assists across all competitions.
While he's expected to provide a cover-up for Benzema, his philosophy may change the course of the upcoming season for the 21-year-old.
