Lucas slams Barca's attitude after losing the first leg in Copa: 'The important thing is to go for all the titles'

Looks like Real Madrid's fiercest rivals Barcelona are not going to reclaim the Copa del Rey title as they have done for many consecutive years. First, they lose 2-1 to Levante in the first leg of the Round of 16 but magically overturned the result and won 3-0 at the Camp Nou stadium. Secondly, they are accused of fielding an ineligible player and should have been disqualified. However, nothing happened.

Finally, the Catalans could get punished for their arrogance. They lost 2-0 to Sevilla away on Thursday night, surely, it is only a first leg and Leo Messi didn't play but the gap isn't small. But, perhaps, Barca have lost motivation of winning the Copa del Rey tournament in which they triumphed four years straight.

The attitude of Barcelona's captain that day, notorious Gerard Pique, was highly controversial. He said after the loss: "If we turn can it over [in the second leg]… fine. If not, there will be other years."

Lucas Vazquez, meanwhile, is left unimpressed with the fellow Spaniard's words. Blancos won the first leg against Girona 4-2 and even though they are ten points behind Barcelona, the La Liga title race is far from over. In short, the winger slams Pique's attitude:

"This year they (Barcelona) say this; last year it was the opposite. The important thing is to go for all the titles. The best is to play a good role in LaLiga and continue as we have in the last two games. This is how the titles are obtained. You have to play with intensity and a desire to win, and face the three competitions to the fullest."
