Lucas Vazquez admits he 'would like to have' Neymar at Madrid; calm about his lack of playing time

Real Madrid striker Lucas Vazquez attends an advertising event on Friday and discusses several burning issues, for example, his own lack of the playing time and the much-talked-about Neymar's rumours. The Spaniard is calm about his current situation at Real Madrid and admits he 'would like to have' the talented Brazilian among Madrid's ranks.

Bernabeu Digital quote him as saying: 'Neymar? I think it's early to talk about purchases, we'll see what happens. It’s clear, however, that Neymar is a great player, a world star that all the teams would like to have among their ranks.'

The Brazilian is linked heavily with the Paris Saint-Germain exit as he reportedly feels unhappy in Paris, overshadowed by the 19-year-old World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe. Several Spanish sources claim that Neymar has a buyout clause in his PSG contract which allows him to leave next summer for as much as 220 million euros. Barcelona return remains his priority, however, the Catalans could be lacking funds for such a bold move.

As of his own recent misfortunes at Real Madrid, Lucas Vazquez stays calm. He finishes up: 'I must continue to work and try to exploit the opportunities that I hope can come.'

Somewhat surprisingly, Lucas Vazquez is the most creative player in Real Madrid squad, with no one else assisting so many goals as him since 2015 - 40 in just 6,935 minutes of play. However, with Julen Lopetegui's arrival, his playing time was significantly slashed with the winger spending on the pitch just 197 minutes since the start of the season. His only start came in the Champions League, against CSKA.
