On Tuesday Real Madrid have appointed Santiago Solari as their new permanent head coach on a contract that will run until June 30, 2021, after an impressive run of form which included four wins from four games with a goal difference of +13 since picking the team up after Julen Lopetegui's sacking.
And Lucas Vazquez believes that there is no better candidate for Real Madrid right now:
"He deserves the job for the results, the performances, the feelings he has brought," Vazquez said as per Marca.
"It was difficult to do anything better than he managed in his four games. He deserves this because he couldn't have done better."The winger has started three of Solari's four games in charge and is happy to regain the place in the team he lost under Lopetegui:
"Since the change of coach, I've had more minutes, although the important thing is the team. We have won four games and we want to continue in the form.
"It is also my dream and my goal to return to the national team. I want to come back and I'll work hard for that objective."
