One condition in Odegaard's contract that stops transfer rumours for good

According to multiple recent reports, quite a few Premier League teams have become interested in signing Martin Odegaard after witnessing the midfielder's spectacular performances at Real Sociedad during the 2019-2020 season. Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be following the player.

Florentino Perez, being the experienced businessman that he is, made sure that Odegaard stays a Real Madrid player. At least until 2023, that is. Marca say that Martin's renewed contract with Los Blancos includes a 350 million euros release clause for anyone interested.

Meanwhile, Odegaard is not planning to leave La Liga anytime soon: "My intention is to stay [at Sociedad] two years and I think that's important for me, too. I have had two seasons in a row where I've changed teams. To have some stability is good [and] this is a great club and hopefully, we can get European football for next season."

Are you glad that Perez included such a monumental clause in Martin's new deal?
