Zinedine Zidane wasn't surprised at all by Takefusa Kubo's impressive performance for Mallorca against Real Madrid in Wednesday's clash at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium.
"Very good. He had a great game. We know the player he is and today he proved it. He's very skilful, always looking for a goal and I'm not surprised by his performance," the Madrid head coach said of the Japanese, as quoted by the club's official website.
As there are around 30 European clubs, including PSG, who reportedly want to see the 19-year-old among their ranks next term, Zidane was asked about Kubo's chances to stay at the Bernabeu for the 2020/21 season.
"We'll see what happens later on," the Frenchman replied. "Our concern right now is what we're doing with the players who are here."
Takefusa joined the Whites on a free transfer from FC Tokyo last summer. He joined Mallorca on a season-long loan in August. The Japan international has scored 3 goals and delivered the same number of assists in 28 La Liga appearances this season so far.
