After the draw against Portugal, Karim Benzema was asked to reveal what he and Cristiano Ronaldo were chatting about on the stroke of half-time.
"It’s nice to see him again, we have come a long way together," he replied as quoted by Metro.
"We both played eight or nine years at Real Madrid, we scored goals, won trophies.
"We spoke, we wished each other good luck for the future with our clubs and in the tournament and especially to continue to have fun on the field and continue to make the difference."
Benzema and Ronaldo were at the forefront of things on Wednesday night. Portugal held France to a 2-2 draw with both Ronaldo and Benzema scoring a brace.
Now France are set to take on Switzerland on Monday, June 28 and Portugal are set to face Belgium the day before.
