Parents thought PSG was his next step: how Madrid sealed Camavinga move

According to L'Equipe, Eduardo Camavinga's move to Real Madrid is all but finished and the Rennes wonderkid has already undergone the medical.

The deal is reported to be worth €31m rising to up to €45m including all bonuses and add-ons.

Rennes are eager to sell the youngster who has less than 12 month remaining on his contract with the French outfit. However, at first it seemed Camavinga was quite likely to stay in France, joining Ligue 1 giants PSG.

As per the report, Eduardo's family was all for the PSG move. Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea were also interested. However, the transfer to Parc des Princes didn't materialise because the Parisians failed to raise the money. Meanwhile, Los Blancos are the only side to have made the formal bid to Rennes.

Ironically, PSG would have had sufficient funds if they had accepted Madrid's offer of €180m for Kylian Mbappé. Now it looks like they have shot themselves in the foot, because Madrid get Camavinga and Mbappe is highly lilkely to leave PSG as a free agent at the end of the season (and, hopefully, join Real Madrid).
