'I wouldn't have rejected Real Madrid': Pedri clarifies quote about his Bernabeu trial

"When I was 15, Real Madrid called me for a trial. That day, there was a huge snowfall and they postponed it. The next day, I did a light training session and came back home," Pedri has told Antena3Deportes.

"I wouldn't have rejected Madrid, they were the ones who didn't want to sign me," the 19-year-old added.

A few days ago, Pedri explained that Real Madrid didn't consider him good enough for their academy in 2017.

Barca signed the teenager from Las Palmas for €20m in 2019. Since then, the midfielder has been an ever-present starter for the Catalans and won the prestigious Kopa Trophy.
