The idea to play the Belgian as a 'false nine' didn't justify itself. Hazard was almost invisible on the pitch but drew a few fouls.

The winger missed an open chance to equalise and produced an average performance overall.

The striker shows clearly that the team are in need of a better back-up centre-forward. Mariano lacked a good first touch and took his scoring chances poorly.
