Despite Barcelona equalizing in the dying minutes of the first half, Real Madrid regained the lead in the 81st minute through Marco Asensio. But to the surprise of Los Blancos, VAR ruled out the goal for offside.
“What happened? A guy looking at a TV in Madrid has decided La Liga," a Real Madrid source told The Athletic.
Real Madrid have now lost their last three El Clasicos with the latest ensuring that they're now 12 points behind their rivals in the title race.
