Florentino Perez and Luka Modric had an informal meeting earlier this month in which the Real Madrid president told the midfielder that he will receive a one-year contract extension offer from the club, Relevo report.
The proposal is expected to arrive in the coming weeks so nothing is done yet. However, it is almost guaranteed that Modric will continue at Santiago Bernabeu.
Luka had received astronomic offers from Saudi Arabia but his priority was always to continue at Madrid since the economic part is not the most important to him. Besides, it is his dream to retire as a Blanco.
This season so far, Modric has played 42 matches and has contributed with 6 goals and 6 assists.
