"In response to the information broadcast and recently published by various media outlets, speculating about alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappe and our club, Real Madrid C.F. wishes to state that these reports are categorically false, and no such negotiations have taken place with a player who belongs to PSG," Comunicado Oficial from the club reads.
The Mbappe saga has been going for years. With the Frenchman's contract ending in the summer of 2024, recent rumours hinted at Los Blancos being currently in talks with the player. The club promptly issued an official statement rejecting these claims.
But wait, aren't we linked with each and every top player out there? You won't see Madrid posting comunicados denying Reece James or Frimpong rumours. So..why now?
All this is easily explained by the fact that Mbappe is not allowed to engage into talks with any club before January, and it's only November.
Early negotiations could lead to legal issues and penalties for the club, which Madrid certainly don't want.
