Luka Modric could become Real Madrid coach next season

Carlo Ancelotti has offered Luka Modric the chance to become one of his coaching staff at Real Madrid next season, The Athletic reports.

Modric did not accept or reject the offer which means the veteran midfielder could become one of Real Madrid's coaches next season.

38-year-old Modric is four years older than Ancelotti's son Davide who works as Carletto's first assistant.

Modric has proven himself to be an ingenious playmaker with the tactical and technical awareness to succeed on the pitch. There's little doubt he could achieve the same feat on the bench as a coach just like Zinedine Zidane.

The Croatian is yet to make his mind up about retirement but is now expected to pursue his coaching badges when he hangs his boot.
