'I was not even present': Vini Jr reacts to Atletico fans chanting 'Vinicius chimpanzee' before UCL match

A group of Atletico Madrid fans were singing a racist chant ahead of their Champions League clash against Inter Milan.

"Ale, ale, ale, Vinicius chimpanzee."

Vinicius Junior has broken the silence.

"I hope you have already thought about their punishment. It's a sad reality that even happens in games where I'm not even present!" the Brazilian tweeted, tagging UEFA and the Champions League accounts.

The previous day, some Barcelona supporters were chanting 'Vinicius, die'.

Seriously, what's wrong with these people? They are so obsessed about the Brazilian they actually sing those abusive chants before the games he's not involved in.

Just like after one of the Madrid derbies last year, measures should be taken to punish these misbehaving people.
