Cristiano Ronaldo sends touching message to Toni Kroos

Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a strong message to Toni Kroos on his retirement.

“Thank you for everything, Toni! What an honour to have shared the pitch with you. I wish you all the best for the future,” Ronaldo wrote for Kroos on Instagram.

Kroos and Ronaldo shared the pitch at Real Madrid for four seasons before the Portuguese legend left the club.

Kroos is quitting football at the age of 34 having won nearly every trophy including the World Cup. The German has 33 titles to his name.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo carries on with his playing career at the age of 39. He remains Real Madrid's greatest scorer.
