'9 days!': Guardiola complains bitterly about Real Madrid advantage ahead of quarter-final

Pep Guardiola is unhappy that Real Madrid has had plenty of time to rest and prepare for their Champions League quarterfinal clash next week.

"Madrid has nine days to prepare [for the game], nine days!" Guardiola lamented bitterly.

"They played last weekend and they won't do it again until our game. I would like to reflect and ask for one more day because the difference is great. But there is no possibility," Guardiola said.

Man City have played two games in a week ahead of their game against Real Madrid. Los Blancos are benefitting from a break in La Liga due to the Copa Del Rey final being contested this weekend.

It remains to be seen if the break has been an advantage for Real Madrid. While Los Blancos rest and train, Man City have won two of their games by four goals which might've helped them build confidence.

However, winning at the Santiago Bernabeu against Madrid would not come cheap.
