Antonio Rudiger has been voted Real Madrid Player of the Month.
While receiving his award, Rudiger took the opportunity to talk about his best moment of the season — the penalty shootout against Manchester City at the Etihad.
"If I had to choose one moment from the season, it would be the penalty I scored against Manchester City and it gave us qualification [to the quarter-final]," Rudiger said.
"Before the shootout, I told Ancelotti to believe in me and it turned out well," the defender added.
Rudiger is not known to be a penalty specialist but on that special night, he stepped up confidently to slot home the game-winning penalty.
The German defender has been arguably one of Real Madrid's best players this season considering how maligned he was last season competing for places with Eder Militao and David Alaba.
