Real Madrid played out a 0-0 draw against Real Betis to end their 2023/24 La Liga season at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Despite the relatively cagey game, some players really stood through. Amid all the spotlight on Toni Kroos, Thibaut Courtois produced a solid performance.
He was excellent in the second half, making a couple of fantastic saves to deny Betis the chance to go ahead.
A lot of Real Madrid fans now feel that he is locked on to start in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund, noting on Twitter.
JogaRMD: “Courtois is really showing how great in form he truly is. I’m convinced despite Lunin carrying us to that UCL Final, he, unfortunately, will not start. To top it off it’s just mere fact that if your number 1 keeper is in shape and 100% ready, you start him no matter what.”

Dami RMCF: “Man i have to give props to Courtois. Hes been performing week in week out knowing he has a chance to play the UCL final. I can certainly see why Ancelotti picked him, even tho I'm still sad for Lunin.”
Oscar: “Lunin helped the team a lot, but he is still the second goalkeeper and in 5 games Courtois showed that he is still Superman. Ancelotti is going to do what any coach with common sense would do.”
