Yesterday, ahead of Spain vs Germany clash in the Euro 2024 quarterfinal, Joselu said: "Let's hope it's Toni Kroos' last game. It's a game that's not special just because he was here. It's a quarter-final against a great team. Let's hope we can retire Toni on Friday."
In today's press-conference, Dani Carvajal was asked about Joselu's words. Here is what Dani replied:
“Sending Kroos into retirement? Joselu's words were in a joking tone. We just want to beat Germany which means Toni would retire.”
Toni Kroos earlier said he would retire after the Euros. However, it looks like everything is fine between ex-Real Madrid teammates.
