- Carlton Athletic's home ground is near a farm where animals are kept, explained club chairman John Flynn, who also revealed the alpaca is called Oscar.
- "Oscar's really inquisitive, he was enjoying himself and running up and down the pitch, he wasn't distressed - a couple of players said he was our man of the match," he told the BBC.
