Saliba, Torreira, Maitland-Niles: a look at how our loanees fared this weekend

Arsenal have sent a number of senior players out on loan, either last summer or in January - all 7 were in action this weekend for their respective teams and we look at how well they've done.

  • William Saliba: played the entire game as Nice went 1-2 down to Metz at home. He's completed the full 90 on 9 occasions out of 10 so far in the league.
  • Matteo Guendouzi: came off the bench in the 68th minute but Hertha Berlin proceeded to lose to Leipzig 0-3. The Frenchman made an awful mistake for Mukiele's goal too.
  • Lucas Torreira: the little terrier continues to get limited game time - he was only used as a sub in Atletico's 0-2 loss to Levante this weekend - and played just over 30 minutes.
  • Ainsley Maitland-Niles: the midfielder completed another 90 for Sam Allardyce's side as West Brom drew vs Burnley - the Baggies are 19th in the table, 11 points from safety.
  • Joe Willock: played the entire match vs Man United but had a performance to forget as he gave away a penalty which Bruno Fernandes converted in a 3-1 win for Red Devils.
  • Sead Kolasinac: another loanee to get the full 90 (understandable, given he's hardly a youngster) but could not prevent Schalke's 0-4 loss to Borussia Dortmund. The Gelsenkirchen club are without a win since January 9 and lie bottom of Bundesliga.
  • Dinos Mavropanos: got a win and a clean sheet under his belt for Stuttgart as they overpowered Cologne in a 1-0 win. Dinos was subbed off in the 84th minute.
