Did Arsenal get lucky with penalty call vs Forest? Shearer weighs in

Alan Shearer believes referee Michael Oliver was right not to award Nottingham Forest a penalty against Arsenal in the second half on Saturday when Willy Boly appeared to strike Declan Rice's arm.

He told Match of the Day: "It wasn't a penalty. Boly is together with Rice here and the ball comes in quickly from the corner. What is he, a foot away, if that? What's he meant to do with the proximity, the position of his arm. No chance. Oliver calls it right and there's no need for the VAR to look at that. Never a penalty."

Kieran Tierney attracting Newcastle interest

According to The Telegraph, Newcastle United are eyeing a potential loan move for Kieran Tierney.

They want to sign him on loan with the possibility of signing him permanently next year.

Gabriel Magalhaes linked with Saudi Arabia move

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes is attracting serious interest from Saudi Arabia clubs over a summer move, as per the Mirror.

It's still not clear if Arsenal will entertain his sale, but they are interested in signing Man City defender Aymeric Laporte.

Oxlade-Chamberlain moves to Turkey

Former Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has official completed his move to Turkish side Besiktas after leaving Liverpool earlier this summer.

The 29-year-old Englishman, who was on the Gunners's books from 2011 to 2017, has had his Anfield spell marred by injuries and various fitness issues.
