Rio Ferdinand praises one Arsenal defender for 'brilliant' performance in Liverpool loss

Rio Ferdinand believes William Saliba deserves to hold his head up high despite the 2-0 loss to Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Arsenal are out of the competition, leading to immense pressure on Mikel Arteta.

The team performance, on the whole, was disappointing but don't let the scoreline fool you - Saliba did a great job.

The Man United legend said on Vibe with Five: "I thought Saliba was brilliant.

"[Kai] Havertz had some good chances, man. The one that got rolled to him from [Martin] Odegaard, he should’ve smashed it left foot."

Well, the loss was mostly down to the attackers' inefficiency to score goals when it's needed the most.
