One player at fault for Leon Bailey’s goal against Arsenal – shown in pics

Arsenal were stunned by Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium, succumbing to a 2-0 defeat in a key Premier League game.

Leon Bailey put his side in the lead with an 82nd-minute goal, but it was too easy for the winger to score into an open goal.

That was because he was left totally unmarked in the back-post and it has been deciphered how Gabriel Martinelli was at fault for that.

Before the goal, Martinelli was clearly the man assigned to keep an eye on Bailey and even saw him making a darting run into the box.

Despite that, the Brazilian forward failed to track back and mark the winger, allowing him to score into an open net.

Martinelli had an underwhelming substitute outing, failing to create anything promising for the Gunners.
