Pulisic's American passport far from top of the list - but which Chelsea players have the most powerful passports in the world?

Be it in football or in general, it’s always a blessing for any country’s citizen to have a strong passport that can help them travel to other places without any problems. Man United have players from a range of countries, but a few towers over others while measuring their countries' passports strengths.

So according to data compiled by the Nomad Capitalist, a passport’s strength is determined by five factors. The first is Visa-Free travel which is determined the freedom an individual gets to travel to other countries. The second is dependent on how much they’re taxed by their countries.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

The remaining three are divided by a citizen’s ability to hold dual citizenship, their perception in the eyes of other countries and personal freedom. Here is how our Chelsea stars rank up.

1. Michy Batshuayi (Belgium)

The Belgian passport is the fifth-strongest in the world, as it scores the maximum points on freedom, dual citizenship and perception. Only Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland and Portugal rank higher than Eden Hazard's country. Lucky Michy.

2. Andreas Christensen (Denmark)

Denmark find themselves just outside top-10, mainly because of a high level of taxation of their citizens' incomes. On the other hand, Andreas can travel visa-free to two more countries than Michy, so that's a bonus.

3. Antonio Rudiger (Germany)

The German passport is almost as strong as the Danish one, although it's more difficult to obtain second citizenship if your first one is German (It's not a problem for Rudiger, though - he's also a Sierra Leone citizen). In short, our first-choice centre-back partnership seems to be strong in every department.

The United Kingdom passport is just behind the German in this rating, which is why all the English, Scottish and Welsh Blues are holders of quite powerful documents.

But what about Christian Pulisic? The United States are perceived as a superpower, but their passport is not as powerful - they only rank 40th, behind such countries as Greece, Chile and Malaysia. It's all due to their global taxation of citizens - Pulisic can't avoid it even though he earns his living in another country.
