- Tottenham shut Hakim Ziyech down brilliantly, not allowing him space and rushing him when he tried to deliver passes and crosses into the box.
- Chelsea's defence was excellent, allowing Spurs only 1 shot on target all game and nullifying their attacking threat entirely in the second half.
- Zouma had a solid game for the most part but almost lost the game for Chelsea when he gave the ball away late.
- Lampard waited too long to make substitutions, bringing Giroud on as late as the 79th minute, leaving his subs very little time to make an impact.
- Tammy Abraham started the game really well but wasted 3 excellent opportunities from crosses in the second half.
- Mason Mount almost won the game for Chelsea, unleashing a powerful shot in the 81st minute that drew a world-class save from Lloris.
- Chelsea missed the chance to go top of the league but still remain only 2 points off of Spurs, who lead the way.
