New angle shows why Wolves equalizer in 2-1 loss should never have counted
  • Only seconds before Wolves scored their equalizer against Chelsea, the Blues conceded a corner which clearly went off Wolves defender Willy Boly's body.
  • The corner was initially cleared but Wolves scored from the very next pass into the box.
  • In reality, Chelsea should've been preparing for a goal-kick with Edouard Mendy.

The first angle made it seem like it could've come off either Boly or Thiago Silva

However, a 2nd angle clearly shows Thiago Silva's clearance hitting Boly on its way out

  • One wonders why VAR was not involved in a situation that was clear and obvious, even though it spent over 2 minutes deciding if Pedro Neto had dived to try and win a penalty later.
  • Understandably, Chelsea should still have done enough to stop the subsequent finish from Podence.
