Oscar names simple reason why he wants Werner to score Champions League final winner

"It's that kind of game decided by small details. I'll be cheering for Chelsea, sure, so I'll go for 1-0... with a lot of suffering," former Chelsea midfielder Oscar, who now represents Chinese side Shanghai Port, has told Goal.

"I would like to see Werner score the goal [that wins the game] because he has been criticised but he knows how to play, he does the right things and he's played very well.

"Unfortunately, sometimes the ball is not going in, but he plays really well and I want him to score the [decisive] goal [in the final]."

Werner has scored 12 and set up 15 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions in his maiden season at Stamford Bridge after joining the Blues in a €53m move from RB Leipzig last summer.

Still, the German forward has been heavily criticised for his struggles in front of goal as he's missed a number of sitters this term.
