Billy Gilmour is in the talks with Chelsea about going out on loan in the 2021/22 season, BBC reports.

The 20-year-old made just 11 appearances for the Blues last season, including only 3 Premier League starts.

Gilmour's preference would be to stay in the Premier League, with just-promoted Norwich showing strong interest.

A return to Rangers could also hold a certain appeal to Gilmour, especially if his former side makes it through two qualifying rounds to reach the Champions League group stage.

Gilmour's current contract with Chelsea expires in two years, and it would be logical to assume that the Blues will try to secure an extension for th talented midfielder before he leaves on loan.
