Kante, Giroud & Zouma suffer Euro 2020 heartbreak after Switzerland knock out France

The Chelsea contingent at Euro 2020 has lost three players at once after France were knocked out of the tournament at the Round of 16.

The reigning World Cup winners were stunned by Switzerland who levelled from 3-1 down in regular time before beating Les Bleus on penalties. The decisive spot-kick was missed by Kylian Mbappe.

N'Golo Kante played 120 minutes in the game, while Olivier Giroud came on in the extra time for Karim Benzema and scored one of the penalties in the shootout. Kurt Zouma did not play a minute in the competition.

This defeat probably damages Kante's chances for Ballon d'Or but it's hardly the thing he's thinking about right now.
